The Rock Primary – An Election “Mockumentary”

Four Boston-area musicians engage in a mock election to promote a show where they all appear together. The candidates run a series of faux political ads, asking for your “vote” and often attacking each other in the process. All of the ads, released independently in the run-up to their show at TT the Bear’s Place in Cambridge MA on 7/16/2010, are compiled into one “mockumentary.” The short film includes commentary from the actual producer of the videos, Glenn di Benedetto of Killer Suit Creative Media, who plays the frustrated ad man behind each of their campaigns. Includes music from the “candidates,” Leo Blais, Brendan Boogie, Michael J. Epstein of The Motion Sick and Tad Mckitterick from Sidewalk Driver.
